Steve Rogers (Dublin, PA) |
| My Dad was the finest man I have ever known, and for that reason he has always been my Hero. I only regret not listening more to his words of wisdom, and less to my own voice. He worked in munitions in Midvale, PA. during WWII, in the Phila. area. He was not recognized for all his hard work during that time. He died August 20, 1978 at home at age 72. I miss you Dad, and I love you. Your Son, Steve |

| Tribute left by: |
Rodney Hebert (Scottsdate, CT) |
| I knew Lt. Col Glasser when he was a professor at the UConn School of Business. He was my academic advisor and an excellent instructor.
I met him in 1973 after my Air Force discharge. Returning to college under the G.I. Bill I felt very out of place having been stationed overseas for 3 years. Col. Glasser recognized my feelings and worked hard to point me in directions that would relieve them.
He was an outstanding gentleman whose guidance and friendship helped me in many lasting ways. |

| Tribute for: |
SSgt Aaron Horton
(San Antonio, TX)
|
| Tribute left by: |
SSgt Matt Phipps (Austin, TX) |
| SSgt Horton was the scariest most intimidating man I had seen. He was my basic training TI in 2001. I was young, green and completely without discipline. After the first impression of that man I knew he was someone I did not want to let down or get on the bad side of. By the end of training I respected that man more than I had anyone before. He taught character, pride and military bering. I haven't seen him since but I still serve today based on the respect he taught and showed me. |

Joe Schiffbauer (Uniontown, PA) |
| For Captain Scott Miller, RF-4 Navigator
killed in a low altitude crash at 450 mph in the Smokey Mountains in 1984.
I never dealt with with your death after my mother told me about it. 24 years later and now I can't find any more info on how it happened.
You gave a poor kid from Uniontown a future. You gave me a career. I never thanked you and wish I could do so now.
There are still pieces of Scott's F-4 on the ground in the Smokey Mountains. When I saw them it tore out my heart.

He never told the bad memories, only the historical and good deeds by our military.
He is buried in Arlington National Cemetery along with his wife of 58 years, my military Mom. Their grave overlooks the memorial like it was meant for them. It was.
I miss you both so much.

| Tribute left by: |
Stephen Frederick (Greenville, SC) |
| As a young boy growing up in a military community, I learned to respect the soldiers, airman, and sailors that protected this great country of ours. I always admired the quiet, highly decorated warriors who served and fought in numerous battles, yet remained humble. This best describes Col. Joseph W. Hicks, who had more ribbons and medals than I have ever seen, yet he never boasted or bragged. I too am a soldier, and I have never met a more battle tested warrior than this great man. GOD BLESS him |
